The spring bulbs are finally poking their heads up; that means that I’m ready to get into the garden and I’m sure so are all of you! The citrus trees are looking great, many of them are in flower or holding immature fruit already. The trees available this year are generally bigger then last years’ trees, ranging from 14” to 28”! These citrus are selling out fast, so be sure to buy yours before they’re all gone.
Look for our fruit trees at the Toronto Botanical Gardens Spring Sale this year (located at 777 Lawrence Ave E, by Lawrence Ave E and Leslie st.) and be sure to check out the other amazing plants that Paul Zammit has selected while you’re there. Also on hand with knowledge and advice, is Stefan Weber from the St. Williams Nursery and Ecology Center , the largest source-identified native plant nursery in the province. The Toronto botanical gardens is devoted to bringing horticulturalists the very best plants, advice and garden space. With free parking and all proceeds of the sale going to the TBG, this is one event you shouldn’t miss out on.
