The Temple Tangor, (Citrus reticulata Blanco) sometimes referred to as the “Temple Orange” or the “Royal Mandarin”, is a natural tangor hybrid discovered in Jamaica. It is a medium sized tree, of medium vigor, bushy and spreading. The large, subglobose fruit is deeply pebbled, with a reddish-orange, easily peelable rind matures mid to late season. The flesh is light orange, tender and juicy, with a multifaceted flavor. Rootstock selection is particularly important for this variety.
